paperwork progress and prayer request

December 17, 2011

In October we mailed our applications to be allowed to go to Solomon Islands. We applied for two permits: a Work Permit and a Residence Permit. Makes sense that we’d need both. It took about a month for the papers to make it over the Pacific from the US to Solomon Islands. Then various departments have to process the papers.

Yesterday the Solomons SIL (our translation organization) director emailed us saying that he just received our Work Permit! Now he can submit our Residence Permit to another department on Monday.

He has ten Residence Permit applications to submit and is praying that they will get at least some of them (including ours) done next week. Please join us in that prayer.
