Partway there…

We made it to Los Angeles safely.  We left home this morning shortly after 10am central, so it’s been a long day so far (it’s after midnight now).  We could tell many of you were praying – checking in and security went much better than expected.  The two boys have done pretty well.

Here in LA we met the other family headed to the Solomons.  Their daughter is the same age as Baby M and they seem to becoming fast friends.  Little D’s active antics have been keeping the two babies (and all four adults) entertained.

Less than 24 hours of travel left…see you on the flip side.

So good to hear. Esp that you’ve met your friends, and that D is happy enough to be doing antics. I pray all of you can begin that big adjustment.

Miss you. So proud of you. Read your entries and understand the compelling, the desire to obey pushing past the strong pull of self-indulgence. Which one of us would choose bugs, heat, feeling alone and/or misunderstood, doing without many conveniences, sticking out, etc. without some pangs of “What am I doing”? You are so right to cling to His ownership of your lives. I remember trying to comfort my distraught mother before we left for overseas with her grandchildren…I finally had to tell her that I had to obey God and get on that plane, even if the plane crashed at the end of the runway. It really boils down, for me, to “Trust and Obey”. It is a “difficult privilege”… a privilege to obey the one who gave/gives His all for you, but it is, none-the-less, difficult. Love your attitudes…keep finding joy and gratitude. Will share your adventures with the David and the Koinonia class. Love and prayers, Sharon
