Kind of a big deal

Last December, I bought a 2014 planner. It has a “year-at-a-glance” page where I ambitiously penciled in plans for 2014 village stays, times in Honiara, and vacation.

Little M got hold of my planner recently. Here’s what that page looks like now:

Pen overrules pencil.

New plan:

We’re returning to the US on July 10 to get further medical tests for Little M. We’ve bought tickets and will land in Iowa.

Then we’ll stick around to have a baby in December!

Observant readers may have noticed that our last post referred to staying “in New Zealand a few extra weeks for more medical tests.” Those were for me. There was a scare that all was not well with the pregnancy, but now it seems like it is.

We’re working on penciling in the rest of the year.

Sometime I might share emotions and thoughts and stuff, but for now I’ll refer you to Leaving Well and Landing Well.

Wonderful news about your new baby! Congratulations! We’ll be praying for your new little one as we continue to pray for your entire family.

A bit confused though- after reading the links to the articles at the end of your post I began wondering if your trip home was going to be a permanent one. Am I misunderstanding this or do you have the intention of returning to the Solomon’s after the baby is born?

We ARE intending to return to the Solomons post-baby! Sorry to be confusing. The articles were helpful for me even though we’re a temporary repatriation, but they do refer to permanent returns.

Excellent! Praying for your return, for answer to your questions with Micah, and for a healthy mom and baby! Remember that our door is always open whenever you’re traveling down I-80!

Yay for new babies! Love your way of announcing it to the world. Been thinking about you and how Iam a horrible pen pal. Oh well…

    Good morning from Iowa,
We will join you in praying for good health for Little M plus mother and baby also.
Happy flying with your precious family. It is nice that Grandpa Glen and Grandma Carol live on a farm with lots of room for little boys to explore. June V H
