Dictionary Workshop update

December 15, 2015

Prayer partners:

Thanks for praying for the dictionary workshop! We’ve had some valuable discussions the last two days related to the language, and we’ve had fun thinking through words in different categories. For example, we’ve talked about different words for communicating, such as words for shout, argue, pray, and whisper. It is helpful for me to see lots of new words and also see how Dughore speakers group words together so that I can begin to understand the ranges of meaning that these terms have.

I’ve told the attendees that since it’s close to Christmas I don’t want to give them any hard work–just some fun times playing with words in Dughore. Please continue to pray that people would come and have fun “playing” with their language.

Thanks for praying for our health. My throat has held up and felt better the past two days. Please continue to pray for the rest of the family – there’s still a lot of coughing and I know they’re not feeling very well.

-John
